Semen Quality Control "Spermogram"

It is the first and perhaps the most important test for assessing male fertility in which they are tested:
– The quantitative characteristics of the sperm (total sperm count-concentration, sperm volume)
– The qualitative characteristics of sperm (motility, sperm morphology)
– Other macroscopic and microscopic parameters: (appearance, complexion, pH, liquefaction, slimness, white-red blood cell count, presence of micro-organisms, spermatozoa adhesions, porous spermatozoa forms)
Our laboratory, one of the few in Greece, is a pioneer and has the most modern system, particularly high cost, for sperm analysis with the C.A.S.A. (Computer Assisted Sperm Analysis)* method.

*It isthe worldwide reference method for semen analysis.

The analysis of the sample with the help of a computer enables the calculation of new specific parameters, compared to the “classical” old method (microscope), offering accurate, direct and reliable results.
